Hello all,

Last week I sent my application for the RCTS and included a cheque, and posted it to the Slough address.

I haven't received anything yet but I just wanted to know if it had got there or not. Thing is, I can't seem to find an E-mail page or contact page on the site, and putting up such details in Google just shows up RCTS Branch address, not what I was looking for....

Is anyone an RCTS member here and has the E-mail address to the Slough address or someone who deals with this sort of query, could you send it to me please? It would be highly appreciated!

Regards,

James.

Putting "railway correspondence and travel society" into Google took me straight to their home page at http://www.rcts.org.uk/. They have a contacts page at http://www.rcts.org.uk/about/news/contacts.htm where you can probably get the information you need.

There is probably little else I could suggest as it seems very hard to find any other contact details.

It is if you aren't a registered user, which was the intention of using it.

I would not worry as it did take a while after I sent off the application form and monies. The monthly magazine has all the necessary mail addresses of branch secretaries etc that you are looking for and I could get them tomorrow if you are prepared to wait until tomorrow. Currently in the wrong time zone if you see what I mean. The library page rctslibrary@yahoogroups.com is monitored on a regular basis and might be able to help you. Terry Silcock is the librarian and is always ready to help with queries, so I would suggest him and that mail address as your starting point.

UK did you try this one which is the link that you can click on for membership renewals etc
renewals@rcts.org.uk
Don't forget it is, like Sim Sig run by volunteers and they might not respond immediately but are a good bunch of guys.
I am a member of the Watford branch and try whenever possible to get to some of the monthly meetings which usually have a guest speaker for topics far and wide on the railways and different ers but once a member you are free to go to any branch meeting. The lbrary in Hillingdon is off the beaten track but has a wealth of information and books. Timetables can be borrowed once you are a member (a small upfront to cover postage etc) and the years and regions are vast.
Anyway now I have finished the sales pitch I am off to work.

Good luck and enjoy just like Sim Sig.

Thanks all for the help,

I got the webmaster who said it could be a month until I hear anything, which is fine I just wanted really to know if it got there as obviously if it hadn't, I'd be waiting for nothing. Only not long ago a book I sent off got lost in the post so I hoped that it wouldn't too!

Thanks again,

James.
