I was in Manhattan yesterday, and discovered that the taxi cabs there have a...familiar...numbering scheme. (Here's an arbitrarily chosen picture, not mine, that shows it.) In particular, on the upper east side I saw something like 8V49 directly ahead of 1M23 and thought, "somebody did a bad job regulating..."

Look out for 1G12 or 7N78 - if you see it, hail it as if your life depended on it!

I remember seeing those in New York as well, but at the time I didn't make the relevance to Simsig as it was 2008 and I wasn't playing it at the time. Looking through a photo, I had 7V43, so lots of scope for poor regulation!

I've noticed this on TV/films before, seen a few ECS headcodes carrying passengers and a lot of Class 1 codes ones too, brings a whole new meaning to 'fast taxi'!

Anyone dare join 9V56? An unfitted taxi sounds like a white knuckle ride!

No, it was one of Mr. Branson's new taxi's which demand greater priority than a Cl. 1.

!!

Would that be the one that is at the back of the queue behind 1E11, 1E13, 1B44, 2N45 and 2B88?
