Can any one help with a problem that I am having with whilst writing a new 2013 tt for Liverpool Lime St. My problem is that when I set the delay time, the editor allows me to save it ,but then when I re open the editor again the editor has reset the delay time back to 0?

I am trying to use the actual delays / early arrivals editor to allow me to input the actual arrival times of the trains on the 5th October 2013.

Or am I better writing the tt , converting via the covdata to word and then after editing the info and putting the delays in / early arrivals, using converting the data back into SimSig format?

I may have already asked this question before but cannot remember if I got an answer but any help would be appreciated.

Since the delay is contained within the 'Incident Control Panel' section, doesn't the value only apply to the current session, with a new value selected at random* when the simulation is restarted?

* Value subject to difficulty selected on start-up and F3 options.

Just been checking and understand what you are saying Steamer. When I set a train delay , example 10 minutes and save the tt, when I re open and set the difficulty level to standard the delay for the train is there. When I set the difficulty level to easy [ same with scale of problems] the delay is taken out and reduced to 0.
Thanks for the help.

Just a guess as I don't know the exact implementation in Lime Street but its possible easy mode may mean no delays and as a result, it may simply ignore the delays you put in the TT. This means its a combinaiton of sim data and core code implementation and not something you can probably get around.

I can check with Matt next time I speak to him and see what he's got programmed in and then I have a word with Geoff about the effects on a TT.

Checked the info and yes when in easy mode and scale of problems = beginner the sim does seem to cancel out any delays. I thought I had cracked it by opening the sim as standard but now seem to have a problem that the late running trains do not appear on the incident report , even when I have checked the boxes on the option boxes for f3? The trains when in standard mode do seem to run as expected ie delayed. Also I noted when even when opening in standard mode the delays seem to be reduced. The test train I was running should have a four minute delay but this reduces to one minute on standard. Tried the f11 option section but this seems to only apply to trains already in the sim. Will have to check the wiki again me thinks but thank you for the help. Might write the tt and then put the delays in after, [ I was using the 5th of Nov as ny base day and then was writing in the actual delays on the day to make the tt more interesting].

Just as an add on to my question about how to set delays via the timetable editor. I have now managed by using clives covdata is get a test train to run late, convert the info back to the sim timetable and for the delay to "stay" or save on to the timetable. Another problem has now popped up.....the delay is 5 minutes on the sim timetable but when converted to my txt document the delay shows as 313 or 301? Please see info below from the txt file. I though it was seconds at first but the trains are running to a five minute delay.

Lol yes I already thought that but then why does the delay show as 312 and 301 and not 300?

Probably a small amount of randomising applied by the sim at runtime.
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.
