I've had this a few times using both 2009 and 2012 timetables.

Empties from Bedford North Siding to Bedford Carriage Sidings get delayed in platform 1 at Bedford waiting a phone call from the shunter - a phone call which I never seem to receive.

I'm not sure if the call ever comes, as before long I'm forced to send the train in without permission to prevent bringing Bedford to a standstill.

Anyone else had this?

No! I did some testing with ECs and the shunter rang on all occasions. You will need to provide details of your trains involved.

John are the trains from Bedford North Sdg booked to stop at Bedford, or simply pass through? If it's the latter, I know what the problem is and can propose a fix through the relevant channels.

James,

I'm at work at the moment, but from memory there is a 5G72 11+07 from the north siding in the 2012 timetable.

I can't recall if it is booked to stop at Bedford or pass through, though.

James,

5G72 is not booked to stop at Bedford.

That's the problem. The call-from-shunter code is triggered by a train being ready to depart Bedford. Because 5G72 passes Bedford that condition is never met.

5G16 is the other train timed to pass Bedford.

I edited the timetable but still no phone call from the carriage sidings.
