Is the Up Goods line permissive? 19/06/2014 at 10:28 #61842

220 posts 		I just noticed: When I sent more trains to the up Goods line at Mossband Junction, the second train (4M78-A) passed signal CE505 and is now breathing on the back of the previous 6M16. I haven't by any means given it authority to do it.

Is this behavior of a permissive signaled line or is it not normal?

386 posts 		The screenshot doesn’t look like that section could be permissive, seeing as the signal has no subsidiary aspect.

1461 posts 		Goods line signals don't require that - they can be marked (don't ask me how!) so that a driver may pass them at danger after a certain amount of time. The Sheffield sim has some roundabouts Chesterfield, if I remember correctly.

696 posts 		The signals on the goods lines around Chesterfield used to have subsidiary signals and operated in the conventional manner (albeit automatically), as far as I'm aware.

Possibly so, although they aren't shown on the Sim itself (perhaps unsurprisingly).

although they are reflected in trent, as well as on the high level goods lines.
