Depending on what selection option is in play for Largs..

Pseudo Old = Hunterston Jn to Ardrossan South Beach via West Kilbride over the up Largs is non-electrified.
PH518 > PH512 > PK482 > PK474 > PK466

Non Pseudo = Hunterston Jn to Ardrossan South Beach Via Down Largs (Up direction).
PH518 > PK484 > PK476 > PK466

*The Goods Line is non-electrified.

(Happy with my dodgy spelling now! (GM) )

If memory serves me correctly (and I hope it does) , The line from Ardrossan South Beach to Hunterston Jcn was wired circa 1986/87 but 1 line was only wired. I recall from Spark services being intro'd in 1986 from Glasgow to Ayr , the Largs services were DMU until electrification was completed in the Summer(ish) of 1987 so therefore trains did use both lines although its possible at the time that West Kilbride had 2 platform faces as did Ardrossan South Beach. It's apparent that electrification spelt the end of the other platforms , thus rendering Ardrossan SB to Largs Single line

I believe one reason for the singling was the need to find clearance for the wires through Fairlie tunnel.

I'll change the text of the option to make it clearer what it does - though I'd have thought it was sufficiently opaque that one would seek out an answer to what it did before selecting it as an option.
