Hi Dale and welcome to SimSig, Royston is a good starter simulation to learn the basics, with Liverpool Lime Street, Oxted and Lancing also being good starters. When you wish to try larger and more complicated simulations, Multiplay where you join with other players working the simulation is a good way to learn, you can just watch others working, or ask the host to give you an easier panel to work without having to concern yourself with the rest of the area. Final tip: never be afraid to ask for help or advice, we don't bite (well most of us). I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either. Log in to reply |

Hi, I'm also new to SimSig, and am currently looking at the vast array of different simulations. I only started on new years day, and must say that I found Aston a nice sim to ease into SimsSig, with the absolute block section as well. One thing I wanted to ask, is it possible to get certain panels of simulations (say, Stafford) to run be run automatically so that you can focus on just one panel, such as the main Stafford panel? Only on the sims that are equipped with ARS (Automatic Route Setting). You can then switch the ARS off on the panel of your choice, whilst the remainder of the sim runs in auto. It looks like a lot when you first open it, but the layout is actually pretty simple, most trains take a straightforward path, fairly quiet overall. Also the main station area is very flexible if you want to ramp up the delays for a different challenge. Gentle introduction to replatforming, shunting, bi-directional track etc. I played Southampton for a long time, developed there before getting bored of it and moving up to SwinDid. Log in to reply |

Hi, my name is Ollie and I've been doing sim SIG for the past 3-4 weeks and been getting very use to it. I've been doing Llangollen recently as I find that one easy to start on. Had a go at N.W coast but I found that rarther hard as its rather long and big, and whould like to do a multiplayer on that one as then I only have a single bit (ime guessing). And not loads to my self, if any one knows when you do multiplayer on N.W coast please can some one let me know as I will prodadly join in. Thanks Ollie.

Thanks Ollie.Ollie if you want to work your way up from Llangollen to North Wales Coast, there is a smaller sim of a similar style North East Wales which is also donationware. Once you get used to that North Wales Coast becomes much easier. Glad you like Llangollen

That's funny because I did get N.E Wales not only yesterday, and ime currently looking at that one, its a lot easyer than N.W coast. Thank you.
