I am running Birmingham New Street chained with Coventry, Wolverhampton and Aston.

Periodically I am having various sims stating sim expired and shutting down.

Can you advise please.

Have you:

1) paid for a licence for each of New St, Coventry and Wolverhampton
2) assigned your licences to your computer using the Licence Manager

Yes I have paid for the 3 sims.

I believe I have assigned the licence to my computer.

I have taken New Street through 24 hours alone successfully,

but this is now occurring when using multiple sims.

How do I check this.

It's almost impossible to do DRM right, at least without it being trivially breakable - look at all the kerfuffles Microsoft has had with windows activation, and consider their resources against SimSig's.

This is why I don't think the whole licence thing is a good idea, although I do understand why it's there.

Better idea in my view would be watermarking of each paid for sim, along with a regularly updated blacklist. This would mean that the culprit if it were pirated could be identified for legal consequences, and in any case could not join multiplayer games.

I have paid for a licence for each of New Street, Coventry and Wolverhampton.

I have checked that the three licences have been allocated to this computer as a Pro User.

Is there anything else that I need to do so that these simulations do not run in demo mode.

Thanks.

That should be sufficient.

Do each of the sims individually work without any problems? If you run a licenced sim without a licence, you are informed immediately it is loaded.

Thanks Peter,

I will give it another try in the next few days.

If this still occurs I will get back to you.
