Hi

I'm wondering if anyone may be able to help. I purchased a license for Birmingham New Street when it came out. I went to open the sim a few days ago and it opened as normal, but then displayed a message saying that the simulation had expired. When I acknowledged this, the sim closed. I have checked License Manage and the license is allocated correctly to the machine I was attempting to use the sim on. I have uninstalled the sim and downloaded an up to date copy in case there had been any changes which could have caused this, but I get the same result.

Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

Have you tried checking for updates in the Loader?

Sim version should not affect the license.
Are your other Sims behaving themselves? The licenses for your Sims are all shown as on the same machine so that looks OK there.

Have you tried unallocating the license then reallocating it and/or tools>refresh.

No particular reason why these would cause a problem but worth a go.

Hi Peter,

I haven't tried unallocating and reallocating in case it caused more problems to be honest. If you think it's worthwhile and not likely to cause a problem, I'll give it a go. Most of my other sims are donationware to be honest, so there is no particular problem with those.

unallocating and reallocatiing should not cause any problems.

Records show you have 4 payware sims, it'd be useful to test them.

Yes, Peter, I do. I haven't really tried to play in a couple of weeks as I have been too busy, but mostly I have donationware. I will get around to testing the payware sims when I get the opportunity.
