I think the worst of it was directly north of the station, beyond Carlisle North Jn and around Caldew Jn.

I think this picture is looking north from Bridge Street bridge - I think the avoiders would have been in the gap to the left of the line, with the River Caldew on the left of that. (I think)

The flooded tracks correspond roughly to those occupied in the screenshot.
