Cannot accessLicense Manager after update 22/02/2016 at 09:20 #80828

I am running Simsig Loader V4.5.8. I have almost every sim and hold many licenses. So I am a long term seasoned user.

I updated Simsig Loader to V4.5.8 on my existing PC that all other sims run on. Noticing the new Leeds Simsig I downloaded and ran it fine in demo mode and decided to buy a license for it. Paid by Paypal, no problems there everything as usual. When I clicked on the License Manager in Simsig Loader, I get " Error Creating Process:2 " and cannot access the License Manager to allocate the Leeds License to my PC.

What is wrong?

Geoff will be along a bit later with the specifics of what that particular error code means i'm sure - but can we try a few other things in the meantime?

Are you able to access license manager by navigating to the location it is installed and opening it the old fashioned way?

Reading some other Posts regarding the recent Simsig Loader update problems, I decided to uninstall Simsigloader and download V4.5.4 from the Simsig site. Installed that. Ran it and there was no License Manager button.

So I updated using the update button to V4.5.8 and after some weird messaging like "failure to update", then it updates, and "program needs to close so update afterwards", but program never closes, I was up-to-date.

Ran it and hey presto all works fine again!!

Error code 2 is "ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND" - in other words, the executable it's trying to run does not exist. Glad you got it sorted anyway.
