As a train passes DN105, and clears track circuit TDNDBD, there is a brief moment where the route is still set from DN105. As such, DN103 immediately clears to yellow. A moment later, TORR kicks in on DN105, the route drops out (as normal) and DN103 goes back to red. The gap between the track circuit clearing and the route cancelling is sufficient for RN12 to flick to green and then back to YY. This doesn't appear to trigger an ACOA for a train stood in the platform, but in any case it doesn't seem like a desirable sequence of events?

This can be avoided by not clearing RN12 until the preceding train clears Ditton East Junction, as most if not all passenger trains stop at Runcorn. Log in to reply |
