First off, thanks for this excellent simulation! Highly addictive and a constant regulating headache challenge.

Would it be possible to extend the signals covered by the approach berths (particularly towards Shaftholme and Darlington) back to the actual entry point? At the moment, you get a message that a train has entered, but checking its timetable is a bit of a pain. It's also easy to miss the description entering the approach berths, and have trains swiftly bearing down on reds at Northallerton/Temple Hirst.

I suppose they simulate the actual approach berths for York IECC.

Normally Approach Berths will make a 'beep' when its TD changes, have you got a sound assigned to the 'TD berth occupation/change' item on the events menu?
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

How many signal berths back does the approaching go? is it about 5?

That username of mine is getting annoying now! Someone has since stolen MadAboutTrains now! If only I can go back to 2007 or 2008! lol

Strike-in from Doncaster is 0855. Strike-in from Darlington is T968 on the Up Main, or T964 on the Down Main in the Up direction. Confirmed by data and signaller.

I have never (as of current) been to Tyneside IECC so how many signals away is T968?

Berth T968 is the one under the word "Darlington" on the sim.

Thanks Geoff, I thought the Approaching berths could have more than one berth repeated in them but it would appear to just be one signal away.

All depends on the requirements and design. On plain line like those two for several berths it would have been fairly easy to add early transmission but for whatever reason they did not. No Last Sent berth to Darlington/Tyneside either, which is rather unusual between signal boxes.
