Hi Ajax

That hadn't been mentioned and as such is not in the version that is awaiting authorisation. Will be looked at for the next version under PC-VC 07

Paul
No worries, I'm still using the old TT you first released as using it to get my head around the various services and the layout at the time - Have found the Peak to be rather challenging but that isn't a bad thing, that's a GOOD thing!

Gents

To keep my numbering system consistent PC-VC 09 has been added to my list referencing various trains arriving at London Victoria but only showing departure times.

The platform clash at Wimbledon now fixed, when work started on this timetable the only era available had only platform 9 available at Wimbledon.

2W24 now shown to depart at 09:46.

Version 1.2 of the timetable uploaded and awaiting approval.

I like the old SR Headcodes in the Timetables, what be nice to have the stock next that too. Would make an interesting feature to see the type of units running around.

Hi Giantray

Adding stock details is part of a future update, although this is a bigger job. I am in the process of creating stock diagrams and will be 'allocating' units to the diagrams to try and bring the timetable to life.

In connection with that, if anyone was number taking on a winters day back in late 82 early 83 any 'gen' would be well used :woohoo:

I have logged this on the sim issue tracker as it appears to be a different incarnation of an issue with trains doing loops. In the interim period the easy fix is to abandon timetable until the affected trains are past the signals and then reinstate the timetable once the train has gone past the affected signal.

It appears that there is no fix that can be done to the actual timetable.

I've just started playing this. What a fantastic TT. Well done, Paul!!

As an aside, since I am playing solo, I've got about half the game on ARS. I have to say, the ARS is completely bollocksing up the whole show!! Not sure if that's intentional or otherwise.

Not fat ..... fluffy!! (G Iglesias)

Will have to say otherwise, not noticed any major ARS issues during any of my run throughs of the timetable.

The problem is ARS is setting routes across junctions to far in advance. An example is Streatham North Junction. F2 shows an UP train approaching signal 672 (Norbury) is at Streatham Common and ARS has set the road over Streatham North Junction as far as signal 638 blocking a timed train on the UP Slow Spurs that runs ahead of it.

I have a save if required.

It's a curious bug, and not new nor TT specific - indeed I mentioned it as a known issue on the Timetable notes for the timetable included with the sim.

ARS is, generally, trying to give all trains 4 clear blocks ahead. Streatham Common to Streatham North is fewer than 4 blocks, so it is always trying to set the route over the junction by that stage. For whatever reason it isn't "seeing" the conflicting traffic until too late, I suspect it is a byproduct of the large number of timing points and signal sections in a very short distance, but never was reliably able to pin down at what point ARS eventually sees the conflict and takes action (thus discovering where exactly the issue lies).

The "fix" is to treat ARS as what it actually is - an aid to signalling but not a replacement signalman- and accept you can't just sit back and expect it to do the right thing 100% of the time. The user needs to contribute to correct regulation by placing collars, manually setting routes to resolve conflicts correctly.

Real life ARS is even worse for poor regulation than anything SimSig has written.

ARS can set the route too early and block busy junctions such as Balham. I have overcome this by locking the points in the vulnerable areas, thus preventing ARS functioning until I release the points.

Paul. 5T31's tt needs a location (P2) at Steatham Hill for ARS. I see there are many other 5xxx.

Slattery - It can run with either, however as JamesN noted it is an aid. Streatham Junctions will have that issue no matter what timetable is being run as it is a quirk of the ARS.

How does 2A52-2 14:39 Epsom Downs - London Victoria travel from West Croydon ending up arriving at Norwood Junction instead of Selhurst on Up Brighton Slow?

Is this a programing error?

Now up to 17-10 with this very absorbing timetable and all hell is breaking loose !! To add to the mayhem, I now have a couple of trains calling in reporting wrong route set but I think I have set the correct routes as per their pop-up timetable. Save game hopefully attached but the offending trains are...

2Y12 at Streatham North Jn (signal VC651)

2J14 at Tulse Hill North Jn (signal VC759)

Hope it's not me doing something daft. Am running WITHOUT ARS.
