Already have the Victoria line and Waterloo and City. Plus Marlylebone has the met line from Harrow to Amersham.

Wow, that'd be an amazing sim.

I don't know what the process is like for creating a sim, I guess it might be a bit easier once the colour light signals have all gone and the boxes have been decommissioned as LU might be a bit more forthcoming with information, but I assume it's easier if you can actually visit a working signal box/control room - in which case time is of the essence! The SSR has already changed a lot and will look very different in a few years' time.

There's probably still a good 15-18 months before the first box closes. Many years before (if) the last one shuts. However one thing that is unlikely to change is LU's views on releasing the information.

However, if (IF!!!) signal positions can be established, it is possible to calculate overlaps (and therefore at least some of the likely TC breaks). If I get chance over the Christmas break I'll look up the formula (it's in OS Nock's book that was written for - mainly - budding signal engineers, but facinating for us non-professionals as well). Likewise it should be possible to get a reasonable idea of likely TC breaks on the approach to closing-up signals, on the basis of signal behaviour as trains approach (and I suspect they tend to be fairly standard anyway). Probably not possible to do it to the usual level of Simsig pedantry (sorry, accuracy) but should be possible to create a 'good-enough' version.

I travelled quite a bit yesterday in Zone 1 using the Underground, it would be good if the Northern Line or the Jubilee line got done especially as the latter has a train every 2 minutes so would keep you on your toes if something went wrong

Both are Thales’ SelTrac® CBTC controlled and probably wouldn't be easy to simulate in SimSig, perhaps the previous signalling systems might be done one day, but then the service pattern wouldn't be as insane.

As far as the Jubilee and Northern are concerned, as much as their service frequency is high, there really isn't that much to keep you occupied until things go wrong. Even then the current system does a lot of the work for you. There are very few flat junctions to cause conflict, and most of their service simply shuttles backwards and forwards from one end to the other.

As far as the Victoria Line goes, not a great deal has changed as far as what can be simulated in SimSig. I have the beginnings of a 2016 timetable - which I may finish at some point - and the sim as it stands can run it more or less ok. If SimSig were able to realistically reproduce the new Victoria Line system (which it cannot) then once again until things went wrong there wouldn't be a lot for anyone to be kept occupied by. And even when things go wrong it's all dealt with a little differently to how other NR areas are dealt with.

I totally get what you mean :-), I would of done timetables with many short workings on it just for fun like Morden - Golders Green via Bank, Tooting Broadway - Finchley Central via Charing X that sort of thing :-)
