Trying to chain RUGBY NORTH & ASTON but it doesnt seem to work:

09:53:44 The host at 127.0.0.1:50507 has rejected your connection attempt.
09:53:44 These signalboxes do not chain together

I note that ASTON doesnt have the ability to chain to RUGBY NORTH but RUGBY NORTH does have the option.
The sim manual also states they are 'chainable': https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=simulations:rugbynorth

Am I doing something wrong (probably!)

Just tried it and I agree with you, it doesn't work in the current latest versions.

368 posts 		In fact the manual says chaining for this pair is not enabled; presumably this is pending an update to Aston.

I don't think aston has been updated to include chaining to Rugby north yet

Or, more likely, an update to Rugby North? I know Aston will chain to Stafford as both have links to / from Lichfield Trent Valley LL which is under Rugby North. I think there is a plan to update Stafford to include the new flyover at Norton Bridge but whether there is one to extend Rugby North to incorporate Lichfield Trent Valley LL I know not.

Well Rugby North knows about Aston, but Aston doesn't know about Rugby North. So I figure Aston is more likely to need updating. Also Aston came out before RN.

RN does not require updating. Aston will, however, be rereleased to chain to it. RN will not be extended any further as Aston does TV LL
