How do I set the absolute block from Barry - Aberthaw?
I'm following the same process as for Aberthaw to Barry

i.e. - Click on OF on the Down Line to offer the train and cause the AC button to flash

On the Up line - Aberthaw to Barry this works OK and the block is set to LNC
On the Down Line, I just get a message saying "Cannot give slot"

The manuals don't offer any advice other than the above steps.

It works for me, there must be some reason you can't give a line clear. Without other details it's hard to tell, but I don't think it's a problem with the sim, nor is there any special step the manual isn't telling you about. Have you got the points in the clearing point set correctly? (Are the crossover beyond AW2 and the points into Aberthaw PS both set for the safety of the approaching train (i.e. normal)?)

Without a save game I can't be sure, but I'd put money on the trailing crossover beyond AW2 being reverse preventing you giving a line clear.
