Hi folks!!

I was wondering if anyone could possibly help/guide in the right direction with this Nameplate that I have had for years.

I've got a little baby on the way, and just need to free up space and free up some extra cash.
Would anyone know if this is possibly worth anything?

As a starter for 10, it is a makers' plate rather than a nameplate. From the date on it, if it came from a UK locomotive it is probably from a BR Class 21 locomotive (more information here - subject to the usual Wikipedia caveats).

No idea about any intrinsic value.

Looks like £200 is not an unreasonable guide

References to GEC make me wonder if it was an electric loco - the 84s were built by NB with GEC equipment, though they were first into service in early 1960; so depends on what the date represents.

Good point - forgot about the first generation electrics.

Found this (not sharp enough though) http://wnxx.com/images/scrap/plog-content/thumbs/class-81-to-class-89/class-84/large/8535-84009-cab-e3044long-marston-230313-if-235.jpg

Though the lack of a build number seems a bit odd, could it be from a piece of electrical equipment, rather than a loco?

Yeah, I had been searching online for a while and hadn't came across that particular auction. I added more detail into he google search and came across it. Glad I came across that. Thanks for all your help and info folks. let's hope it fetches something similar.

Ok folks. Here's another one. Not a makers plate but again could use some help.

Has four corners as if you could slot a ticket in and also has a pouch for perhaps bank notes?
