Afternoon all,

Every year we normally have a Christmas chain. In the past we have had either:

- Midlands megachain (Wembley Mainline, Watford, Birmingham NS, Rugby SCC, Derby, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Leamington Spa)
- Western chain (Bristol, Gloucester, Westbury, Swindon, Exeter)

This year I would think that, unless we get a Christmas present (ie another sim or two), one idea would be to do Liverpool & Manchester chain (Manchester North, Manchester Piccadilly, Hunts Cross, Liverpool Lime Street and Huyton sims) which, by my estimation, could be done if there are a minimum of 19 people around to play.

I don't have the timetables for most of those sims though so not too easy for me to host. Does anyone have any other ideas for Christmas Day and / or New Years Day chain?

Dave

A pity. What if we exclude Huyton from the chain?

Then you'll probably have a very long queue of people waiting.....

Surely it would be better for a Christmas host to have many panels, to avoid a huge queue?

Just my thought!

I think you mean Edge Hill and Hunt's Cross won't have compatible TTs

A pity either way, I could see it being quite a fun chain. Wonder if this one due for release on Christmas Eve - https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/47217?nav=unread - might provide an idea chain?

Edge Hill already exists its the sim named "Lime Street to Runcorn". The *.sim file is named "edgehill.sim"

I think you've misunderstood- the problem is that none of the timetables for the Edge Hill and Hunt's Cross simulations are compatible with each other, meaning that they can't be played chained together at the moment.

I thought I might of done once posted, although in my defense, the forum link provided was to a thread talking about a release of a new Sim, not a new set of timetables

I'm happy to lend a hand in hosting part of the chain which I don't mind at all :-). I love the mega chains that are done including the Xmas ones.

Echoed - if I own a sim involved in the chain, I'll happily help with hosting.
