Hi all,

Playing around again with Exeter 1981 and particularly E703 (reverse) at Newton Abbot.

In my revised version of the timetable a number of trains reverse at E703 at Newton Abbot East. Instead of stopping to reverse just over E703 GPL on TQD which holds points 892 normal, they proceed beyond and stand on TQE.

Because 892 points are now unprotected by a signal and are free to move, the reversing train understandably requests an authority to move.

Is this as designed, or is the stopping point on the wrong place? Incidentally setting the stopping place as "near end exact" doesn't change things.

In the attached image 0B06 has left Hackney Sdgs and is waiting to follow 1A07 towards Dawlish

Hi all,

Sorry to bump this back up the list again but it seems to have got lost in the traffic after the new sims were released.

Can anyone help with this please?

As a bodge, have you tried setting the stopping position as NX -nn metres. The minus sign causes the train to stop nn metres before the NX position. No idea whether it would would work in this situation. It it does, the downside is that if/when the default stopping position is changed you would have to edit all of the TTs to take out the -nn figure.
