Will a new Oxford 2018 era be in the making?

It would be nice.

It would also be nice to have some of the known issues/ bugs in the existing release (logged some time ago) fixed. IIRC, there were around 10 logged to Geoff and/or Mantis.

Would be nice, most surely.

However, as already pointed out in response to a similar question for the Swindon sim, that would entail far more changes than appear at first sight, and would probably require access to some more "hard to get by" information (if you know what I mean).

There are 3 suggestions which are out of scope but left for posterity. There are a few more WIBNIs. There is a pair that is duplicate. Then there are 2-3 that are questionable (lack of data to confirm). That leaves one actual bug from what I can see, and not exactly mission critical (two tokens on the 4-trains-per-day Morris Cowley branch).

Geoff - thanks for taking the trouble to reply. Without identifying which of the items reported in Nov and Dec 2017 fall into the various categories it's difficult to follow up, but if you (or A.N. Other) would like to PM me directly re "lack of data" items, I'd be pleased to help if I can.

Purely for clarification, my definition of bug is a feature that is provided, but does not work as intended. For example, in 2000 mode (1) routes to/from the northern end of the Down Carriage Sidings 2-4 not working and (2) impossible to get multiple trains into DCS2-4 and have them emerge again ("held by conditions" message occurs).

Regarding the two tokens bug, a reminder that it happens on the Claydon single line too in year 2000 mode.

At least that sounds like this problem with wrong route phone calls has been fixed in the unreleased version. Apart from these token issues, I indeed don't know of any major bugs in the sim.

Interesting to see, by the way, that the DPL has become the main line for northbound passenger trains and that there are more blocks between Oxford and Wolvercote now. Which, I think makes handling late/early freight easier. It looks like a good overhaul which brings more advantages than just conflict-free routes for Chiltern.
