Working through JC92's Winter 1992 TT, have encountered a problem when evening parcel trains are using the above ground frame. Have the Derby station pilot (DYSP) trying to run round 5V64 in the CS. DYSP is sat at 457 sig despite forward route set to 504 sig, the hand point set correctly and authority having been given to obey 457. Saved file attached.

TIA

Hi.

I wrote the TT but haven't personally tested this movement as PhilJMW did most of it for me. I believe he reported something similar. Did the train move when authorised to pass a signal at danger? I can take a look at the save later.

Hi Joe,

The train moved when authorised to PSAD. I get the impression that since there is also a train (5D91) in the Gas Tank Siding, the sim is confused which train to give the authority to?

Great TT BTW. I take it the full five day TT will be released in due course?....

Also does anyone have the lengths of the Top Yard Neck and Slum Siding? Can add them to the Wiki when known...

I've logged this as Mantis 25386.

This is quite an old timetable that never got released and as such didn't have days of the week taken into account. at present It will remain a Tuesday timetable but never say never if I find the free time to expand it.

Yes the same did happen with me when trying to get DYSP out to run round 5V64 when testing the TT. Getting moves out of the station yard earlier in the day worked without issue. I'm running through the release version now but am so far only up to around lunchtime.

I can't give you the exact length of the Top Yard Neck (always known to us simply as the Slums Neck), but I seem to recall the buffer stop used to be somewhere up towards the start of Chad Curve. It was certainly long enough to get a 2+8 HST coming off the fuel line part way up there to get behind DY476 dolly to go back towards Etches Park.

Re the Slum Sdgs, in 1992 I think there were still 3 sidings, one of which I think still gave access to the loco works at that time. I couldn't reliably give any lengths though. The Slums were at that time mainly used for stabling on-track machines (tampers, etc). I've an idea the only way to access the Slum Sdgs was from the Top Yard Neck (Slums Neck), as I seem to recall the GF slotted the GPL signal there.

Phil.
