For some reason (possibly unreliable internet but I'm not 100% sure as I haven't noticed any dropouts), my Piccadilly sim has come up with the message about 'licence removed, terminating sim'. Unfortunately I'm in the middle of TT creating, and have had quite a productive session - but frustratingly haven't saved for a quite a while (I know...). Obviously, once this message appears all options such as saving are out of the window, and the sim will terminate immediately. Does it save a snapshot on doing so so that I can recover my afternoons work; or is there a way to force SimSig to see my licence again, allowing me to remove the message and continue where I left off (I have been able to open another instance of Piccadilly, so evidently my licence is still there!). At present I haven't acknowledged the message, or closed the window in the hope that my data can be salvaged. There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway. Log in to reply |

It should make a saved game named 'License Lost'. If it has, you can re-load it and the TT will be almost exactly as you left it.

It hasn't :( The last auto save file is from this morning, wokeup.ssg. Frustratingly my TT file isn't much newer (my own fault, but still) and I've spent most of today doing the fiddly bits around evening joins/ECS/next trains. There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway. Log in to reply |

Yes, I shut it down :(. Possibly opening another instance at the same time confused things; I don't know. Frustrating to lose the work, but I'll cope!
