London Bridge LL, 2T81 departed on time 0042. I needed to ask the driver to examine line from 505 signal because of a TCF but the train seems to have stopped short of signal & as of 0047 no call from the driver, saved game attached.

Being a Signaller of the London Bridge Area, now in my 31st year, what you have done would not have been done in reality. Signal Box Special Instructions would have told you to caution the driver from the signal in rear (491) as there is a third rail gapping issue in the throat of London Bridge (Central). When signalling, we weren't allowed to signal out to 501/503/505 if we thought that the signals would not have a proceed on them by the time the train moved. We would often give a single yellow on platforms starters, if we had the route set from 501/503/505 because we knew by the time the train moved, any movement ahead of 501/503/505 would clear in time to give a proceed on those signals.

If you look in the Simsig Manual for the Sim under Panel 9 there is this line,

"The distance between a block joint and the next signal can be very short due to the tight pointwork. Therefore it may appear that a train has stopped too short of the signal. Bear in mind that signaller’s screens/panels are never to scale so the train may well be within 10m of the signal yet still on the previous track circuit. This can happen at L501, L503, and L505."

To get the train moving press 'F2' to show the Train List. Right Click 2T81 and goto Signalling Options and click on "Tell Driver To Examine the Line". Then set the route from 505 and 2T81 will eventually move.
