I'm having problems with 7T97 which I routed on to the 'Down Goods' line at Swindon prior to a booked run-round movement. It will be noted from the screenshot(2) that the train is off route! My first question is: what route should I have set up for this train? My second question concerns the run-round operation which cannot be made because of the length of the train (685m) which fouls the 'down main' when it finally stops; how do I complete the run-round operation? In the end, I shortened the length of the train. However, I cannot help feeling that I've erred in some way and that there is an easy answer to this.

The only way I can see to get a 685m long into the loop is to run wrong road from Wootton Basset Jn on the down, through P4 and onto the loop via 63 signal.

Thank you for that. It is unfortunate that ARS did not select this route before train got to Wooton Bassett; once the train had passed this point, there is no way that the signalman can use the full length of the 'Down Goods' line. The risks of relying on ARS!

Looking at a couple of YouTube videos, I think the length of 685m may be an error- the train appears to be much shorter than this. One for the TT writer to look at.

Going wrong line from Wooton Basset at that time of day is a non-starter.
