There's an actual issue behind that, though, in that currently delays are only ever generated upon arrival, never upon departure or at some point in-between, regardless of how far in the future the departure is.

I just had a pair of 156s, operated by Northern, hold up the Down Fast for 40 mins - because they had "the wrong kind of food trolley". Maybe its time for a competition for some new and "interesting" delay reasons to be suggested, with the best ones added into the game? the same with user worked crossings.

Was it Birmingham new street had the delay of the cat on the roof a few months back, that must have been an interesting conversation with control.... "There's a ****ing what on the roof !!!"
