I am now at 21:45 and have had no Bakerloo trains arriving at Queens Pk Juct for over 60 mins. Timetable shows that 6 trains should have arrived but they never appeared. What's going on?

Confirm save shows problem for me.
Confirm deleting next due train does not let the overdue trains enter.
Confirm creating a new train does not make it appear.

Quite why it's happened I'm not sure, though the queue of entering trains has got stuck and nothing will ever enter.

The entry queue has got itself into a state that should be impossible and I can't work out why, though I've got some vague ideas. The fact this has never been reported before suggests there's a race condition that requires exact timings to make it happen.

It would be possible to describe how to edit the saved game to allow trains to start entering again, but I suggest you just abandon this game or - if you've been taking snapshots - go back to a snapshot before the last successful entry.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Don't know if it's relevant but I've had the same situation three times with Sandhills. ON the first occasion I noticed that nothing had entered from Liverpool South Parkway for some time so I posted a save on the appropriate forum. I was advised to delete the first unentered train from that entry point. I did so and subsequent trains entered correctly, possible stressing the third rail power supply.

A few days later during another run the same thing happened - and the same train, 3S07, was involved.

A few hours later trains stopped entering from Hooton. Again removing the first unentered train resolved it. This time there was nothing unusual about the unentered train, it was just a run of the mill 2Cxx or 2Yxx.

I know it's a different simulation and not entirely comparable but it may point to a wider problem with the queueing/entering mechanism. As is often the case with me the system was under stress on each of these occasions, with significant unresolved disruption.

The issue with 3S07 was down to a rule having not been satisfied which clogged up the entry point, I think the advise at the time was to mark the offending train as entered which will have cleared the queue.

That's different to what's happened here, as there's no rules involved.

The issue with the 2CXX / 2YXX I'm not sure about as I don't remember that coming up on the forum.

The Bakerloo entry problem was nothing to do with the queueing/entering mechanism. It was some odd behaviour with the berth stepping mechanism (Bakerloo trains can't enter unless a certain hidden berth is occupied) and I still can't work out how it could possibly have happened, since it was using perfectly normal mechanisms that have been there for many many years.

The next release will have a bit of trickery in it that detects the specific situation and kicks things back into life. I tested it on lawrm's saved game and it unfroze that. I just wish I knew what froze it.
