Flashing yellow junction signal remains yellow after route cancelled 11/12/2022 at 14:39 #149226 | |

I believe I have found a bug, where the junction signal of a flashing yellow sequence remains at yellow after the route from the flashing signal is cancelled. These are the reproduction steps: - Set the route from signal A to signal B, and signal B to signal C. -> signal A becomes flashing single yellow, signal B becomes steady single yellow. - Cancel the route from signal A to signal B (and if applicable, wait for the approach locking to drop) - Pause immediately after the last track circuit stops showing white -> signal B stays at a steady single yellow - While still paused, set a route from signal X to signal B - Unpause -> signal B continues to show a steady single yellow -> signal X clears to a non-flashing aspect (after conditions like approach control where applicable) When starting fresh, setting signal X to signal B, and signal B to signal C, will cause signal B to stay at red, leading me to believe it staying at yellow in the reproduction case is a bug. I've found this in three cases: Stafford, at Stafford station: Signal A: SD4 81 Signal B: SD5 14 Signal C: NB159 Signal X: SD4 83 or SD4 64 or SD4 66 (any of the 3 works for the reproduction steps) SwinDid, at Moreton Cutting Jn Down direction: Signal A: 901 Signal B: 905 Signal C: 913 Signal X: 903 SwinDid, at Moreton Cutting Jn Up direction: Signal A: 912 Signal B: 904 Signal C: UR50 Signal X: 916 Westbury, at Newbury: Signal A: R822 Signal B: R824 Signal C: R838 Signal X: R484 Last edited: 11/12/2022 at 19:35 by Dionysusnu Reason: None given Log in to reply |

I think it's OK. Looking at Stafford signal SD5_14 is set as approach control FY so if SD4_81 is flashing then SD5_14 clears based on that fact. The others do not have an FY aspect so the conditions to clear SD5_14 are not met. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

So if the conditions are not met, why does SD5_14 still stay clear after SD4_81's route is cancelled? That's where I feel the bug is. Edit: I've clarified the wording in the original post Last edited: 11/12/2022 at 19:35 by Dionysusnu Reason: None given Log in to reply |

Ah I see, it's because you are overlaying the route to SD5_14 before the original route has been fully been released. In that case - pass. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Given that you have a single cycle in which to achieve this, I don't think there is much of an issue.
