Hello. I'm really enjoying SimSig, and own a few simulations, and want to expand my collection. But I'm really stuck on what to get next. I currently own Birmingham New Street, Leeds City, London Bridge, Sheffield, and Manchester North and Piccadilly. Out of all the sims I play, my favourites are Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester North. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hi, Might I suggest trying out Three Bridges, if you want a larger area, or the Rugby sims which have lots of lovely freight and optional ARS. Or if you’re after a difficult one, Sandhills is scary when it’s got problems! Thanks Jamie Jamie S (JAMS) Log in to reply |

Manchester Piccadilly is a great Sim and chains to Manchester North. Otherwise I would echo that Three Bridges is also a great sim.

I'd recommend West Yorkshire which can get very busy and has lots of freight movements. Also Edinburgh can get hectic if you like the challenge of a large area.

Motherwell and Carlisle are always fun for the sheer variety of traffic - especially with the 1980s TTs which will see you tearing your hair out at 3am!

Thanks for all your suggestions! I'm not a huge fan of large area simulations, because I usually like setting routes myself, so am steering towards something which I can play by myself without ARS.

Would recommend Warrington, no ARS and busy enough for a solo player with a variety of timetables from the 70's to present day.
