I'm playing the Three Bridges Sunday 24th November 2019 and have encountered a couple of problems.
I checked on the Forum and can find nothing reported which rather surprised me.
At 05:44 I granted permission for 5R90 to enter from Three Bridges Depot (signal 132)
The train never appeared.
05:40 save attached

At 06:17 train 5K02 entered from Selhurst Depot and ARS correctly set the route to Norwood Jn Platform 5. However, I got a phone call to say that it was the wrong route. I had to abandon the tt and reinstate the tt when the train arrived at P5.
06:10 save attached.

5R90 appears fine for me from your save.

5K02's issue is mentioned in the timetable notes. [Edit] Mantis 38319 - it's because the next service is going to Crystal Palace which is not immediately accessible from P5 at Norwood - it should only be looking at this service.

Re 5R90:
I have just run the tt again from my save and 5R90 has still failed to appear. According to the tt, it should arrive at Three Bridges Station at 05:49 and it's now 06:05

I'm wondering if it's something to do with how I set up the route. For some reason there are four 'points locked by another route', although I can't see why and the only way that I can unlock them is to click on one of the hollow green roundels. This unlocks the points and I can set the route.
Are my actions incorrect?

Weird, if you try to set the route before 5R70 has appeared, you can only do so by weirdly requesting the slot on 132. If you wait until it has appeared, the route can be set as normal.

I have been setting the route before 5R90 has appeared.
Are you saying that I should wait and set the route once the train has appeared.

Can you explain to me why the points are locked by another route? As far as I can see, no other routes have been set.

Incidentally. I must admit that I didn't read the tt notes re 5K02 when firing up the sim. Just so happens that I did what the notes said.

You can only set the route before 5R70 arrives if you request an inbound slot (which you shouldn't have to do). If you wait until the train appears, you can set the route without requesting a slot.

I have no idea whether this is correct (I doubt it) or a bug. I'm just reporting additional information for diagnostic purposes.

Further information, its not a problem with the old up sidings layout in the 2000-2013 era.

The depot has two roundels to request release of the points. The depot shunter releases them for outbound trains automatically, but if you can also request them at other times.

The releases on the points means the depot can freely use signals TD131/TD133 for shunting without Three Bridges being involved. Reversing the points, however, requires cooperation between both, hence the releases.

Makes sense, perhaps the Sim user manual could be updated to reflect operation.

Thanks Dick. I thought that's what you meant and the thought did actually cross my mind when the train didn't appear on the re-run.

I did check the Manual to see if there was an explanation regarding the operation at this location, but unfortunately there wasn't. Next time I sahll wait for the shunter to release them.

Thanks
