Hi,

I bought East Coastway yesterday. Now I fail at the problem that I can not set a road in Newhavon Harbour from Seaford direction. The two level crossings are closed and at the left one the "Release" indicator lights up. Nevertheless, I get the message that the route is not available.

Until now I have handled it by calling the trains to let them pass the signal verbally. But that can't be common practice.

So how can I set up this route?

Thanks for an answer, and sorry if the question has been explained before. However, I have not found such a thread.

Many greetings from Germany

Which signals specifically are you attempting to set a route between?

Are you attempting to set a route from CCO29 to CCO30 while CCO30 is already cleared? This might cause the message as these routes have to be set sequentially.

At least in the case of NH40 it can't be cleared until a train is on the approach. Quote from the manual:

Quote:
There are a couple of realistic interlocking 'quirks' at the Harbour which are reproduced in the simulation and may catch both the wary and unwary alike. Firstly the point detection on NH18 points are part of the control circuits for NH42 and NH102 signals. Secondly the berth track is required occupied before NH40 lever is released.

I'm concerned with signal NH40, I can cope with journeys from Lewes to Seaford, in the opposite direction I don't know what to do.

Yes, I have already read that in the manual/wiki. But I don't understand what I have to do to run in a route. The track in front of signal NH 40 is already occupied, but a route cannot be set.
Maybe I'll just describe how I proceed, then you can see if I'm doing something wrong:

The train is in Seaford, I set the route from signal NH42 by left clicking on it. The train moves in the direction of signal NH40. I close both level crossings and activate the "Release" indicator. Until then I have not operated the block modules to Newhaven Town or allowed the exit from Newhaven Harbour.
However, the route from signal NH40 to track 2 at Newhaven Harbour is rejected with the comment "Route not available".

To make sure that everyone is working from the same information, can you supply a saved game with the problem?

Ok, I have now got the route set. I think that was actually because I have otherwise already pulled the exit from Newhaven Harbour.

Thanks a lot for the help
