Just making sure this is correct. 5I84 wants Wheel Lathe 2. This isn't the depot that Northern have so just wanted to make sure this is correct?
It has been since January http://www.infrastructure-intelligence.com/article/jan-2023/manchester-train-servicing-depot-brought-back-life-spencer-group

Passed the age to be doing 'Spoon Feeding' !!!

Though technically those moves should all go into WL3 for the shed, WL2 is for the actual lathe and run-round line.

I was told when signing it that the different wheel lathe siding calls should go to different people - WL2 goes to the Longsight south shunter as it's slots are controlled by Alstom, with WL3 going to the person in charge at the actual depot building - I'm sure headshot119 can confirm that though

There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

As above mentioned all units arrive on WL3 and depart from WL3. When you call up Lathe it selects either WL2 or 3. How the slots operate are a little baffling but make sense as explained by Splodge. WL3 has its own person in charge and WL2 is controlled by Alstom at Longsight.

Due to a family death I'll be taking a litle time from the screen, as you could imagine I'm lost and empty. I will be about to answer to any further issues as when I can. I have provided those interested my next Crewe Timetable based on 18-7-2023 for testing purposes..

I do hope everyone understands my difficult situation.

Take as long as you need - and don't forget that if you feel you are having issues you can't share with your support group at home then reach out to the community here. There are lots of people who will help you publicly or privately if they know you need a shoulder to lean on.

We only deal with the Wheel Lathe PIC who is part of the Alstom staff, they then go away and confirm with the PIC of the depot building the train can be accepted and give us the appropriate slot.

Given Northern didn't annex the MID until 2022, including energising the permanently earthed sections of OHLE, the 2018 - 2020 era correctly reflects the operation of the time.

Thank you all for the support. It has been tough last couple of days. I took some time out yesterday to reflect I ventured into Piccadilly to see some units/freight to clear my mind instead of winding myself up in the house. It certainty helped!. I'll be about somewhere to help out as normal but mostly will be hiding in my timetables.

Thank you all that have helped out with testing of the timetables for both Carlisle and Manchester Piccadilly during my operation, recovery and a death in the family. I will be aiming to release these next week at some point.
