Something in the Carlisle game that I’m currently playing, got me wondering.

4S90 approaches the junction at Gretna Green where there are flashing yellows when a route is set towards Dumfries. As the junction is occupied by 1E95 travelling from Annan, I am unable to set the route until the junction is clear.
When I do so, 4S90 approached the junction with a double yellow, and two single yellows, none of which are flashing.

I then re-ran the sim and set the diverging route slightly later and as 4S90 approached the junction, there was a single flashing yellow and then a yellow that wasn’t flashing, which is what I expected.
Are both these situations correct and what a driver would expect to see?

Oh dear the first screenshot isn't the correct one.

Train was too close to the junction to offer a flashing yellow in the first case. It has to be visible to the driver for a minimum time (can't remember specifics), otherwise it reverts to a regular approach control.

Thanks Geoff. I thought that might be the case.

So, in the second screenshot, with signal CE508 directly above 4S90 flashing yellow, the train was far enough away to enable the signal to flash?
