Not sure if this has been encountered before, but when starting the SimSig Loader this evening, none of my saved files were showing for any simulation. To make sure they had not been erased by accident, I checked the files using Windows Explorer in the Public Documents folder and they were all there. I then went back to the loader, tried to open a saved game, but again, no sign of them. I then did the classic IT problem solving solution of restarting the computer, but this did not fix the problem either. As a work round, I then tried to open the saved game directly from the folder in Windows Explorer to see what happened, but SimSig was not listed in the list of programmes to select so no avail that way either. I then went back to the loader and tried again. This time the saved games were visible. Not sure what caused the original problem, or what caused them to suddenly appear, but it seems that trying to open them via Windows Explorer somehow unlocked them and made them visible again. The reason why I am raising this is that I recently updated the loader to the latest version (V5.26), and I'm not sure if there could be a glitch in the new version which caused this issue, and also to let anyone else know how I overcame it should they have the same issue. For the record, I am running Windows 11 version 22H2, and have never encountered this issue before. Thanks. Log in to reply |
