This is what people want to see.
Not me I am prepared to wait and be surprised. The developers, compilers, creators whatever we may wish to call them all do a fantastic job producing their product. As requards secrecy and Lording it up, it is their right and privilege, it is their product. It is not our right to expect them to reveal their wares unless they want to. We can ask, but should not expect anything.

Retired Professional Railwayman (1981-2023); Pway & S&T (1981-88); Former Signalman/Signaller/ Signalling Trainer (1989-2023) [AB, TCB, Mechanical, NX, WestCad, Hitachi SARS]; Railway Historian (esp.SER, LCDR); Member of The Permanent Way Institution..

Hopefully we can move on with this thread now, we plan to release Doncaster Station a day or two after the meet, but a screenshot of it will appear on the forum on Saturday. There may also be a second screenshot of another simulation appearing as well!
As much as I would hope it would be a loader version of Cambridge, I think it's more likely to be Bristol because the powers to be have already released one screenshot of it but we see.

Be interested to see the data to back up the assumption that your view is held by "the many".

Afternoon all.

Can we move on from this now and look forward to what should be a really good and exciting weekend. Only a few more days and everyone will be able to see together.

Why not do a thing in the loader, Green its paid for and good to go, (like now.) Yellow its done but not paid for.(like it is now
) Red in development and will be ready when its ready. seems quite an easy thing to do in my mind!

How about invisible for ready when it is ready ..... which is what we have now.

For various reasons (personal, intractible bugs unique to location etc) some areas are stuck for the forseeable and it would not be fair on anyone for them to be visible in a 'waiting' state.

Red does not indicate that the sim is in development. it indicates an issue with the loader and a sim file

Taken from Wiki

Quote:
The simulation installation is corrupt, or incompatible with the version of the Loader you're running- ensure any Loader updates offered have been accepted. The simulation will not run.
Dev's can explain better than me, but basicly it means the sim is using a feature thats not in the loader version you are using, and you need to update the loader.

That's the sim I've been quietly waiting for ever since a re-build was announced :-)

That's okay, Cambridge will be ready when it's ready although I am hoping it will come with two eras, the paged sim era and the current era layouts once it's released on Loader.

Likewise because Bristol is my home sim.

I’d like to back in a long odds outside chance: Footscray (exclusive) to Cootamundra (exclusive).

Bristol would be nice though.

I sign some of the old Bristol sim layout. I used to sign more of it, but a transfer of depot removed a fair chunk of it :-)

I'll say what I do every time: the GEML would be nice, I grew up around Brentwood / Shenfield and now live in Norwich.

But whatever the extra possible sim is, I look forward to it.

Yes, for some value of "current" (I'd like to include Cambridge South and the extensions towards Bury and Norwich, but I don't have access to enough detailed information).

I haven't seen anything on that since the cat was brought out of the bag about 4 years ago. Would be great if it was, fingers crossed!
