Can somebody tell me why you never use the LOS 116X on up arrivals at stainforth instead of using the Hatfield platform RR from D1113 to D1120 esp when there are trains incoming on Scunthorpe Down Fast a few minutes later, and freight on the down slow?. You can route from D1113-D1115-LOS116X then reverse it back into bunker line, which avoids blocking the main lines. If you went via up recp the difficutly is there is a stop board. Separate train is 1Z08 2141 runs to up recepn and RR from Hatfield back to recpn but overhangs the points and therefore cannot set route back out of recep to Applehurst jcn. Cheers John Rowley

I'm not sure I understand your first issue but the Up Arrivals and Up Slow are both part of Hatfield & Stainforth so you can reverse the loco there. The timetable might need "stops on through lines" selected though.

The other train is short so it should not be overlength. Possibly it needs a stopping position to leave room for the loco, if it's the rejoining loco that is the problem.

yes the rejoining loco for 1Z08 is the problem. I correctly RR to the slow signal D1116 then to Hatfield on the fast line and then back into up recpn but as it joins it block the points from up arr and the slow line. So I assume its where it stops originally in the up recp that is the problem? My first issues was more of timing. The RR comes out bunker to d116 then shunts to Hatfield platform on the fast, waits then RR back in. The problem is that it takes too long to shunt from D116 to Hatfield as about a min after it is supposed to leave Hatfield there is either a fast from scunthorpe or slow from goole and from doncaster is a freight on the slow. That is why I thought you could just use the los to get it out of the way of all traffic and not hold anything up.

Don't stress too much about im working my way through the Donny North and South TT's once I get the Doncaster Station one out the way that will chain to them.
The Serco Railtest specials will be looked at again with the info that I have.
