Title
West Hampstead Olympics August 2012 Weekday TT
Description

This is a re-release of the West Hampstead August 2012 timetable by @underwood and updated to the latest SimSig standards as of 21st April 2025 by ajax103 with full permission of original timetable author @underwood.

**In order for this timetable to work properly, you must have 'seed trains' checked and running on the 2009 layout.**

This timetable is based on the 2012 WTT set in early-mid August during the Olympics. This is a 24 hour timetable, though trains that are in the area will still run, but there will be no more entries after 24:00 hours.

Because of the Olympics, there are no engineering works so Thameslink operate a full service to Brighton and Three Bridges.

East Midland Trains have some extra departures from St Pancras running up to 1am.

There is also a Charter Service operated by DB Schenker on behalf of the London 2012 Olympics organisers between St Pancras International and Derby calling at Luton, Bedford, Kettering, Leicester, Loughborough and Derby.

Please also note that there is a Railtour operated by DB Schenker on behalf of UK Railtours from Basingstoke to Buxton in the Peak District calling only at St Albans City and Bedford. Please be aware that due to the booked trction being a pair of Class 66s in Top and Tail operation that the two services are restricted to a maximum speed of 75mph and should be kept off the fast lines where possible.

NOTES:

1. There are a couple of fictional shunt's to the Carriage Washer at Bedford. Any pairs of units that use the washer, Class 319 x 2 (164m) or Class 377 x 2 (162m) MUST use the main through platforms at Bedford for reversing.

Only a 4 car Class 319 (82m) or a 4 car Class 377 (81m) can reverse in Bedford Platform 1A/BAY

Also note that trains via the washer have different dwell times set to simulate them having a wash and the driver changing ends. Wait for the driver to call from signal WH621 before sending the train into Bedford.

2. There are 4 services diagrammed as a Class 377 x 3, if possible please try to keep it on it's booked workings instead of using it to cover other services.

There are no such restrictions on services diagrammed for Class 319/377 or Class 319 x 2/Class 377 x 2 but try not to short form services eg run a 8 car service with 4 cars if possible.
