Timetable in writing

This timetable is for Carlisle Exe Version v3.238.2

This timetable is a standard weekday timetable based on the workings from June 2017 to August 2017.
Timetable has a mixture of Mon, TThurO, WO & FO freight working to add to the variety. Timetable was created from my own records on a all night visit in May 2017, Real Time Trains (RTT) for actual Platforming and Passenger workings & Freight working's via Railway System Source.

Timetable Notes:
1. Signallers will have to regulate freight and passengers accordingly to minimise delays.

---Service Pattern---

---Serco Caledonian---
Inverness to London Euston
London Euston to Glasgow Central/Edinburgh

---Virgin Trains---
London Euston - Glasgow Central
London Euston - Glasgow Central/Edinburgh Waverley Via West Midlands
(Alternates between each hour, these run as Class 9's)

---TransPennine Express---
Manchester Airport to Glasgow Central/Edinburgh (Alternates between each hour)

---Northern & Scot Rail---
Newcastle - Carlisle
Barrow/Whitehaven/Maryport - Carlisle (Alternates between each hour) - Also operated by Direct Rail Services Class 37 + Stock.
Newcastle to Glasgow Central
Glasgow Central to Newcastle
Leeds to Carlisle

---Freights---
There is plenty of freight working's within this timetable, signallers will have to regulate so they don't hold up passengers.
Some freight services at Caldew Jn will need to pass before passengers.

Nice, can I have a copy of this please?
If no-one likes me, why should I like them? Just like a Arsenal v Tottenham game in the Premier League.

Timetable was started last week with 60% of the passenger services written and only 10 freights at the moment, it usually takes me 2-3 weeks to write the timetable then goes under testing which could last a week to 6 weeks while I also have work also.

Timetable has been fully written with a staggering 336 trains of mixed Passenger and Freight workings. Timetable will now be testing and amended if where necessarily. Testing the timetable requires great attention to detail and over the coming weeks that's what I'll be doing between my work and family life. Should hopefully have it out by October at the earliest.

I did have a plan for a 2017 TT for Motherwell, but would need the sim to be well up to date as it is currently. I believe there is an update been sorted for the sim. As my good friend Craig suggested, that I make trains Electric/Diesel together for the areas that are non electrified as current there are electrified.

Sorry for the delay in getting this timetable tested and released. I'm upto 1800 (6pm) in the timetable so another 6hours to test when I can find some time to myself to finish it up and get it released. Reason for the delays is because of work and personal issues.

Some observations regarding the Network Rail UTU schedules in this sim.

3Q90 that enters at Carnforth North Jn at 0029 has a correct train characteristic max speed 75 mph when it enters the sim as it is transiting from the end of its last recording at Carnforth Nth Jn to Oxenholme DGL. Once it enters Oxenholme DGL however, its max speed needs to become 30mph (the maximum permissible UTU recording speed) as it records from the south end of the loop all the way to Windermere. Ideally a fresh schedule with max speed 30 is required for the record to Windermere and another schedule with max speed 75 from Windermere to Carnforth as this is just a transit move to the start of its next recording, but a simple workaround is to amend the max speed from 75 to 30 in the F2 window as it approaches Oxenholme DGL and then revert to max speed 75 at Windermere. 3Q90's second appearance at Carnforth at 0433 is ok as it transits all the way from Preston to Carlisle so max speed 75mph is correct.

Moving on to later in the day:-

3Q82 1645 Carlisle High Wapping - Blackpool needs to be max speed 30mph as it starts recording at Carlisle South Jn and records all the way around the Cumbrian Coast from there to Carnforth (one of our best and most scenic jobs if you get it in daylight and the sun is shining).
3Q95-1 1758 High Wapping - Kingmoor - (Carnforth) is ok as the journey from High Wapping to Kingmoor is only a transit move for fuel and water.
3Q95-2 that enters at Kingmoor at 1848 is the return of the transit move above as far as Carlisle South Jn but then needs to be max speed 30 as it records from there all the way to Carnforth. Ideally this could really do with being two schedules Kingmoor - Carlisle 75mph then Carlisle - Carnforth 30mph, but again the simple workaround is to just amend the max speed from 75 to 30 in the F2 window when it arrives at Carlisle from Kingmoor, although I've edited the schedule in my sim to be 30 throughout as it won't do much more than that from Kingmoor to Carlisle.

Phil.

PS Having just read some of the earlier posts in this thread, my post relates to Carlisle Summer 2017 v1.1 as currenmtly available in the downloads section, not to an exe sim version of the TT. The link in the post above to a v1.2 is broken.

Thanks for this I'll amend these workings to note 3Q82 should of been 1Q82 which will be changed.
Ah yes, top & tail 37's + 5 x Mk2 could be a PLPR+TIC(track inspection coach) train, hence 1Q rather than 3Q as they can run and record at higher speeds. I just assumed as it was a 3Q there were two UTU paths and it ran either/or 3Q82/3Q90, as we used to have a UTU diagram that recorded the Cumbrian Coast then transited to Blackpool for a shift 2 days later.

Just a small note if you're looking for consist accuracy, UTU's are not formed of 3 x Mk2's + DBSO. One of my colleagues who is really well up on loco and stock history advises me all the UTU test coaches are former SR EMU vehicles. 3 and S are from the same 4-REP unit, while 1, 2 and 4 are all former 4-CIG vehicles.
UTU1 and 3 are normally formed loco+NVA(former Motorail veh, now contains water tank)+SGT runner(Mk2)+SGT test coach(Mk2)+UTU test coach(former SR EMU veh)+DBSO,
UTU2 and 4 are normally formed loco+brake force vehicle(Mk1 BG)+NVA+generator veh(Mk1 BG)+UTU test coach+DBSO.
UTUS is normally similar to 2 and 4 but the additional vehicles may vary. A gen van will be marshalled in any rake if the DBSO is not generator-fitted(some are, some aren't) to provide a second genny in case the test coach genny fails.
