This is similar to a previous post for the Westbury sim (see "https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/49248?postId=113243", "More Shunting Issues At Newbury").

Intrigued by this, I went to see if this could be reproduced at other suitable locations in other sims.

I can confirm a similar situation happens on the Exeter sim at Tiverton Junction (where GPLs are provided on signals E40 and E61. A train stopped on the down main (between E637 and E42), having previously approached it wrong side (from E653), prevents a call-on route being set from the other direction (from either of E640 or E40). The message received, is, of course, "Subroute locked in opposite direction"

Don't assume that every main route has a corresponding call-on route. In this case there are two main routes from E40 (to E42 and to E142) but only a call-on to E142.
