Presumably it's waiting for the Single line between there and Barthomley Junction to become free.

But the line was free the last train that passes that area to Crewe was around 0045hrs.. nothing since and this was the 1st coming in from Crewe. But it keeps doing this oddly even when no trains about.

I've taken a quick look at this, the signal clears immediately after issuing the warning in this case. Weirdly, the train is configured at that point to not warn on red signals, but still does...

Nothing to do with your, or your timetable. I can't be sure if it's sim, or core code but it's being looked into.

Mantis 0026427. It's an odd issue, as the debug tool is clearly showing that the train should not be warning on the red... Maybe some race condition, hard to tell.

Might have found a issue with Longport Up Sidings as follows:

At 15:39:08 Longport Up Sidings: Please call back in 2 minutes
At 15:39:53: Longport Up Sidings: Permission granted for OE70 to enter

Now maths might not be my strong suite but even I can see that 2 minutes have not elapsed so why would the shunter call back in less time then instructed?

I have uploaded the most recent save of the session I'm running which has full ARS, Derby lines/Level Crossings disabled.

I would definatly go and say its core code related with so many sims effected, strangely not all

I have a Tamper/Ballast Regulator that's to arrive at Penkridge, upon validating timetable I get 'Entering trip must specify one key location', so I ticked Berth Here and the message still pops up.

Also I noticed Stafford Arrival Sdgs 1/2 don't have an entry in the entry lists? do I need to seed a train there to get a train to run later?

If the Tamper is from the previous night you need to seed it.

Stafford Sidings would need to be seeded, but if its the tamper from the above it would just sit there all day

Passed the age to be doing 'Spoon Feeding' !!!

Although the train said it was cancelled it actually ran under that above cancelled path., I think the machines arrived earlier that week but I can't seem to find anything. My main issue is the entry at Bushbury to arrival at Penkridge.

Seems to be a strange one. 6U43 has been following the HOBC for the last fews including them two again at Stafford on my visit, I've removed this train from the timetable for now.

Up to recently I've been watching the Stafford Diagrams on RailCam/OTT Maps.
It would seem at Searchlight Lane Jn if a train is routed on the DS to DNB to Stone, Signal 5611 on the DS reverts to a Red Aspect. I have noticed this quite a lot. If a route is set from DS to DS to Madeley then Signal 5611 will show a Green Aspect as it should.

This seems to be missing on the Staffordshire sim oddly. I wouldn't of thought the signaller would manually put 5611 to Red while the route is set DS to DNB. It would seem a bit tedious in my eyes.

That being said - The maps are just that maps and as such aspect conditions shouldnt really be replied upon after all its not a working simulation - I doubt that the amount of time involved making these is anywhere near the time involved in developing this (or any other) simulation

It's plausible that's the case; however I'd expect the controls to be symmetrical - on one line the signal is held at danger while the other is off and vice versa.

It's also possible that the translation of the data is incorrect - the format the signal data is output in doesn't make it obvious what exactly is being broadcast. Railcam and OTT etc may be incorrect in their interpretation of what that bit of data actually represents.

Raised as a suggestion with the developer on mantis; ticket number 26975.

How does the Railcam/OTT data compare with Traksy. Some of the maps on that site are coded to show signal aspects. This particular area just shows two-aspect signal heads (R/G) but are the aspects consistent with what people are seeing elsewhere?

Looking at this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akxGvnqlX8c, around the 1:03 and 1:10 marks, we see trains heading to Stoke with 5611 at R. As the signal is in the direct line of sight of a driver approaching the junction and taking the diverging route, it's probable that this is read-through prevention.

I've double checked against the data, Yes there does appear to be some read through protection on Signal SC5611, which has been added for the next update. As I was looking at this, I have spotted another signal which appears to have the same protection

The inference from the sim was that the two signals were parallel on adjacent lines - in such cases the read through controls are symmetrical in my experience; as the risk is broadly equal for both routes. From your video evidently the signals are not parallel on adjacent lines so asymmetrical controls would be adequate.
