Excellent day, thanks to all involved in organising and providing the sims.

One possible bug (I don't know what real life provides) at Deansgate. On putting the tram signals into auto it promptly signalled an arriving tram in on top of one already in the platform, even though the other platform was clear. I ended up with the trams having to depart out of order. Is this intended behaviour?

Well spotted. The SBSIs at Deansgate Junction prohibit the use of the automatic working button as it's got a habit of doing what you experienced.

"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

Seem to remember when I was a Metrolink driver it would aim to fill the platforms- without intervention it would send a tram into P1, then a second on top of that, the next into P2 and the fourth on top of that. The 'ARS' system at Bury would do exactly the same thing if left to its own devices!
There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

A really useful bit of kit then!

The data suggests that the routing preference is Route 505BM (To go behind 506), 505BC (So call on behind 506), 505AM (To go behind 508, and finally 505BC to call on behind 508. In the sim, the call on routes will only be requested if the signal end track circuit is clear

As I said then :-)

Seriously, who in their right mind would come up with that order of routes?
