ARS misbehaving - York slow lines 16/05/2020 at 13:58 #126846

Been playing a singleplayer sim using the Spring 2016 TT, with ARS on IECC mode. There does appear to be a rather odd bug in the ARS when routing trains Up through the slow lines, avoiding York station - the ARS seems to "ignore" 246, 214 and 202 signal, instead setting the route beyond Copmanthorpe No2 as soon as the approaching train arrives at Skelton Bridge.

I've made screenshots, as well as attached the snapshot which I used to replicate the bug (using 6D97).

Additionally, while playing to replicate the bug, I found this curiosity when I wasn't paying attention... (oops!) I don't think the driver would've been too pleased about this diversion!

I hope the driver would be more than happy with the diversion, as he's booked to call at Thirsk!

ARS issue Mantis 30480 for further investigation, I'm not sure if it's intentional with the simulation being in IECC ARS mode.

An ARS problem. Trains stop at S246 are awaiting a Path. York Yard South JNs timetable location does not have a path assign to it!

The issue is on Mantis for investigation (In fact I think it was fixed ready for an update last night). I'm not sure what you mean by it's awaiting a path, it doesn't have a path assign to it.

F2 displays the reason why the train is waiting at S246.

York currently has problems at the south end of the station in both eras, just different problems. Are these due to be fixed at the same time?

There is a small number of ARS issues that are looking for items in the other era around York station. All those that I managed to identify were reported and should hopefully all be fixed for the next release
