I have now purchased west Yorkshire as well. I would prefer to do Castleford during session 2 out of whats left. If at all possible could I have Milford/Milford west during session 5 rather than a second run of Ardsley

Hi Karl,
Sorry, you allocated me to the only sim on the list I do not have namely "West Yorkshire". Being an invalid pensioner unfortunately I cannot afford $70.00 to buy it.

Sorry,
BarryM

A quick suggestion, would it be possible to swap Super Dogbox and RyanHills round so they both get a session on Leeds Ardsley and Northwest and they can have a change of scenery?
Panels can only be given to people who own that sim. A lot of time has been taken to proportionately distribute panels to everyone who has signed up and accommodate those who don't have other sims.
Fully appreciative of this, I just took a quick glance at the roster and wondered. Looking forwards to this.

Are you not hosting the SBHitNE for 24 hours? Or is the Roster not complete?

Just a quick reminder that we're just a couple of days off of this game. Still plenty of room for people to sign up.

Remember it's BYOB

I have now put myself down for the 4th session as well. I would prefer Leeds northwest if possible but understand it probably wont be possible (I haven't checked the roster). Failing that Im happy to do any panel on west Yorkshire or leeds east/west that I haven't done at any other time in the day.

Really big thank you to everyone who was involved in the making of today's game, it was another varied session, with various incidents and delays taking place across the region.

Out of the 105 potential workstations we had available for today's session, we filled 98 of them before we had to double up.

Look out for the next one, we're hoping to do something on the 4th of July in place of the cancelled Scottish meet.

can I make a suggestion for future chains? I think It'd be a great idea if an incident log was kept to record what went wrong who dealt with it and how. As I only participated in the first two sessions for instance, I've missed all the shenanigans of the rest. some of these are priceless moments like the drunken indecent Yorkshire couple on 1O04 at Heald Green, or James' Magical Toaster of Mayhem and I think it'd be interesting to record the various events of the day for the final report.

There's been a suspicious package on Leeds platform 9, and a shopping cart on the railway at a station I don't remember. People were also quite disappointed when the wheel came to a temporary blockage of a fast line somewhere, instead of an actual 'funny' incident.

Edit: and not to be forgotten, a person trespassing on the railway viaduct at Durham, causing five fast trains in a row to come south after it cleared.

At least, that's my recollection of the third session. I haven't been in the last two either.

The suspicious package was on Newcastle and turned out to be a salad sandwich, a Christmas Tree fell onto the track between Platforms 8 and 9 at Leeds, promptly recovered the the office. We had fire alarm at Sheffield SCC meaning the entire box had to be evacuated leading to lots of delays. Cable Theft in the Prince of Wales area, a Bar Brawl on Sheffield platform one, a tresspass incident at Wakefield Westgate and a failed train on Leeds Ardsley but that was at handover time so that's our colleagues issue.

Thank you to all who ran these sessions. I only had one problem - an "incident" on Platform 1 at Barnsley which turned out to be nothing when the MOM arrived - and it was good fun. I look forward to whatever is organised in lieu of the Edinburgh meet.

James’s toaster was destroyed by the MOM after the Edgeley Jn incident. A grievance was filed with my line manager and the union, but it’s probably caught up in all this Corona rubbish as I’ve not had a response.

Reminds me of a story from a colleague of mine, who at one stage was Railway Training Scheme coordinator for Paddington Area. (RTS originated as the government's Youth Training Scheme, to keep young people out of the unemployment figures, back in the 1980s; when it ended, British Rail set up their own version and it continued to feed some extremely good people into the system until its demise with privatisation in 1994.)

One day he and his trainees were walking down Platform 1A at Paddington when one of them noticed a teddy bear on the track. One of them asked if they could get it up; not really any problem, 1A was effectively unused anyway (and was removed shortly after under the resignalling). On the spur of the moment he decided to have them go through the process of taking a line block and rescuing it; quick call to Old Oak Panel to tell the bobby what he was doing, then let the kids get on with it. After a textbook T2 the teddy bear was rescued and duly presented to him, to decorate his office until his job disappeared with privatisation.
