Right-clicking on a sim in the list brings up a context menu which should allow managing licences. However, it's telling me that I don't have a licence to manage for the sims I know I own; it only gives me the option to buy a new one. And yes, I ran the upgrade wizard, after finally getting a functioning v5.2 installation.

The option to filter the list down to sims that are both installed and licenced (or free) is welcome, though. Just wish it actually worked.

How do you reset the password anyway ? No option that I can see in my account section.
Log out of the website, and use the "Forgot password" link on the login page to reset it if you don't know the old one.
OK THanks I think its all working now for me after a wobbly start.

Can you share an image, rather than a Word document?

Just tried to join a Multiplayer and got
Exception EFCreateError in SimSigLoader.exe at 00022591, Cannot create file C:\Users\Public\Documents\SimSig\CommonConfig.dat

Crashed out.
Gone back in, says logged in OK, all licences yellow. This is the latest loader as of 19:32 BST

I had the same issue with my Licenses. But I found this worked:

Quote:
I don't know if it is the official solution, but I ran the now obsolete license manager, and after synchronising, I re-run the new loader, which then popped up with the wizard. Clicking on next made all of my sims available, so I can play now :)

I have the same issue. I try to load a sim that I'm quite certain I've purchased. I get a message telling me to purchase this sim again. It doesn't recognise my password. Please advise. I'm going cold turkey.

It appears you haven't run the wizard to transition your licenses to V5. It should pop each time you run the loader if it detects old licenses on your machine.

Thanks for the reply. I've now got version 5.2 and I'm still having problems running most of my paid for sims. I can run a couple of them e.g. Derby. I keep getting prompted "you do not have a license for this sim". I cannot run all of my sims without being prompted to buy them. Can someone please advise how I can rectify this issue, using plain English.

Thank you (sigh)

You either need to follow the wizard that pops up when you open the loader to transition your licenses to version 5.

Or go to this page https://www.SimSig.co.uk/License/MyLicenses and request an unlock against each license so we can release them for use on V5.

After reading these comments on this forum about Simsig Loader V5.

Decided to get onto my pc and went online as to get the loader update.

Ran it with no problems and acknowledged the sims that I purchased but that is if you are online.

Running the Loader off line will get you sims that are not recognized in your name.

So, do I HAVE to be ONLINE to play my bought sims ?

for instance, I can see most games I bought when online as showing green signals but when offline, I get "cannot communicate server" as I see lots yellow signs except when you tick the "Show installed owned/free"

That includes the LTS, Motherwell, Paisley, etc, as online, I can play it but offline, NO.. they show up with yellow signals but LTS not showing up..

Looking at my licences online and see that it says at top saying "Use the License Manager application on your PC to allocate licenses to your machine."

What licence manager ??? Can't see a way to allocate it especailly the LTS

You don't have to be online, no - although it's less faffy for licenses etc if you are online.

While online/connected, right clicking on the sim in the sim list, and clicking on "lock license to this machine" will allow you to subsequently run the sim offline. The sim list itself is now effectively the license manager.

There are 1 or 2 outstanding niggles with the system that mean it's not currently 100% reliable, so running the sim but Geoff and the team are working hard on getting those resolved soon

Do you have windows display scaling enabled on your PC? Some users have experienced issues with windows not rendering the wizard correctly at scales other than 100%

I have scaled down the page, but I still can't find the start icon?
I was just thinking whether or not to uninstall SimSig from the computer and start all over again, using my same account details, etc?
What do you think would be the best course of action?

You can either reset your Windows scaling options to 100% as advised above.

Or use the manage my licenses page https://www.SimSig.co.uk/License/MyLicenses to request a manual unlock of all your licenses.
