Morning everyone.
I have been updating my Victoria Central 2020 timetable with some errors and ommissions that have been found since the initial release a couple of weeks ago.
However, on testing the following issues has been found in addition to the problem that Vince reported yesterday with 3W90 at Streatham (see seperate thread for this https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/50996?postId=129109)

On easy mode (so trains should enter on time):

2B93 0720 Selhurst - Victoria enters 9 mins late on up Brighton slow
2B95 0750 Selhurst - Victoria enters 10 mins late on up Brighton slow
2B97 0820 Selhurst - Victoria enters 7 1/2 mins late on up Brighton slow
It appears these trains are being held back at Selhurst for 2J08, 2J10 and 2J12 respectively, which are timetabled behind 2Bxx.

On further testing the following ideas didn't work :

Making all trains from Sutton direction non-ARS when leaving the sim at Wallington
Disbling ARS for Streatham Common
Making 2Bxx non-ARS upon entry
Ticking "enter on time" for 2B93/5

Advancing the entry time of 2B93/5 by 2 mins solves the problem, not ideal as it looks wrong for the timings at Selhurst but its ok as a temporary fix until the issue is resolved.

These problems with entry did not happen on the old loader, so I'm presuming that its a ARS issue that has cropped up with the new loader.
If it is this can it be put onto Mantis please.

Cheers

Phil

It's a long time since I originally wrote / updated my Vic Cent but I seem to recall I had to change by a minute or so a couple of entry times regarding those "staying in sim but not seen" ie West Croydon - Sutton part) and those entering Selhurst (sure it will be in the timetable notes) so may have been something always there just more apparent now depending on the timings.

I think I just had those from Selhurst entering slightly early "to get ahead".

I should add that as I'm just finishing off A Three Bridges test I haven't updated to the new loader yet.

Gareth

You could split the trains that pass through the sim where a clash occurs . To leave the sim at West Croydon then enter again at Selhurst as opposed to travelling through it that solves this problem

Thanks but it's the starters at Selhurst which are the problem, not the Suttons.
The short term solution until the mantis ticket is looked at looks like retiming the entry from Selhurst of 2Bxx by couple of minutes which works ok.

Problem is that the 2J08 Sutton train arrives at (or at least has a route set to) the invisible Selhurst before 07:20, so blocks the insertion of 2B93.
As 2J08 then sits in Selhurst to 07:26½, time to clear gives the 7½ min delay noted for 2B93.

07:19:10 2J08 passed Gloucester Rd Jn 1 min(s) early
07:21:13 2J08 arrived at Selhurst on time
07:26:33 2J08 departed from Selhurst on time
07:27:43 2B93 has entered: Up Brighton Slow (Selhurst)

Thanks fur that Bill.
I've retimed the entry of 2B93/95/97 by two minutes in the next version of the timetable which seems to sort the entry order out. Subject to the usual testing of course.

Hi Meld,
Yes that could be something I can try. I'll have a look at that idea and see how it pans out.
Thanks for your input and suggestion.

Update:
Ive checked the WTT and these trains arrive at Selhurst 2 mins before their departure times, which is the new entry times that I have in the latest version which is getting tested at the moment, and this works ok.

Phil
