I found this bug at Bedford North Jn:


Despite signal 162 being given, the train is calling in with a red signal message.
In train-list, the train is shown as "Stops at Bedford".

That means the train is scheduled to call at a platform. To call at a through line, it needs to have 'through line stop' ticked at Bedford in its timetable. Is it perhaps performing a crew change at Bedford?

No, it would call a wrong route if that was the case.

If the OP can provide a saved game, we can investigate further. Screenshots aren't that helpful with train behaviour problems.

Why is the message 'at red signal' (it is YY) and not 'has wrong route set - proceed/replace' ?

I was a bit too fast (as often). You're right, the phonecall does not match the message in F2. Nevertheless routing into a platform will probably work as workaround.

It seems it is a case of the driver having started the phone call before the route was set as he was sitting at a red signal, the call in this case has not rest itself for the new reason of wrong route.
If you select one of the wait options the driver will wait the time asked then call up wrong route.

No, on the contrary I had set the route long back and the driver would not have needed to call in a red signal. However, it is true that I have set a wrong route there since the train has a scheduled halt on PF-2.
But I recollect a very old issue in Simsig where at times, a driver waiting at a signal awaiting a correct route instead calls in a red signal!
