In the attached save, a track circuit failed near South Hampstead on the Down DC line, causing signal WS1 to remain at danger.

I thought track circuits on external signal boxes weren't supposed to fail?

The New Lines on Euston are a special case. But your mention of WS1 means it's the 1990s era, which is a special case of the special case and so will need fixing.

To clarify further, what you say is normally true and certainly applies in the 1990s era. Therefore, in that era, Mantis 36402 will change things so that the track circuits before signal 148 on the Up and those beyond the overlap of WS1 on the Down will never fail.

For the other two eras, there was no signal box at South Hampstead or Kilburn High Road and the signals operated automatically (there was an emergency crossover at each place and I presume unlocking it put the protecting signals to fixed red). As explained in the manual, these signals would clear to allow trains to proceed over a track circuit failure. This is implemented for the signals on the New Lines and so there is no problem with allowing the track circuits to fail in these eras, as they will indeed continue to do.

If Euston is chained to WS, then it's the WS simulation that controls most of the relevant track circuits, so they will continue to fail even in 1990s mode. But, again, that's the correct behaviour.
