Hi All,

I have found a couple of errors in the Train Characteristics page of the Wiki. As I am unable to update it myself, would someone please edit it for me? Thanks.

The 3-car 377 units are listed as having both AC and DC power sources. This is incorrect: they only have DC collector shoes.
The 4-car 377 units are listed as having only DC power sources. This is incorrect: some are dual-voltage and thus have both DC collector shoes and AC pantographs fitted.

Done. Does this apply to 378s as well?

Two things....

1 - Why do you say you are unable to edit it yourself? Every user should have an account on the Wiki as standard (and I am ignoring this announcement when I say that as your profile shows you signed up shortly before the date on the afore linked to post), so just login via the button in the bottom-right corner, and edit it. The Wiki is a community project, and so everyone who would like to should take part in it!

2 - On the subject of that page, I noticed quite a while back that some EMU lengths didn't seem right to me (based on information from the relevant EMU class' page on Wikipedia) and would wonder if others also agree and so whether or not they should be edited/corrected?

Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for.

I’m sorry, I don’t know. I only have experience with Southern’s units.

I tried to log in myself but the Wiki told me that my username and password were invalid, so I assumed that the post you quoted applied to me. I have just remembered that I changed my password on the forum a few weeks ago, so I tried the old password on the Wiki as the two are no longer synchronised and I have now logged in successfully. Thanks for the prompt! B)

I would be inclined to say that the data on Wikipedia would probably be fairly accurate, so if there’s a discrepancy between it and the value on the chart then I personally wouldn’t object to the chart being updated.

I wasn't 100% sure myself which is truly correct, hence asking others for their views on it (community spirited ;)). Setting to work on it now!
