Hi.

Is it normal for the trains on the Ffestiniog branch to loose a bit of time even if given a clear run.

I currently have 2D11 (First train 'north' of the day) 6 mins down at Llanrwst despite having a clear run to Ffestiniog and back.

Is this a timetable bug, a sim bug or just what happens in real life

Many thanks
Mark

It is normal, but not a bug with the simulation.

Most of the stations between Llandudno Junction and Blaenau Ffestiniog are request stops, but that cannot at present be simulated in SimSig, so the train calls at all stations.

Request stops: Interesting question; I think it can now be done on a random basis.

How do you select a location to be a request stop?

There's no option in the TT editor for it.

I can't see anything on the Wiki for "request stop".

All I can see is Mantis 636, and that's quite old!

God bless, Daniel Wilson

That's because it's not yet been implemented

You can't which is the point of the tread.
However, the developer can add some coding albeit a bit crude.

Somewhat off topic, but one implication of this is that the timetable for Ffestiniog is "tight" rather than the usual, er, lesiurely TT of heritage railways. Why are they in such a hurry?

The Ffestiniog Railway probably isn't in too much of a hurry but the Arriva Trains Wales line from Llandudno Junction to Blaenau Ffestiniog probably will be tight if all the request stops are called.

Oh, how I wish our SVR timetables were "leisurely" enough for some of our busier days...

Likewise for the GCR - Swithland is anything but leisurely during the busiest special events!
