Hi all,

I am playing the fantastic 2015 timetable using the modern era layout. I currently have a train (4S28) that has entered at Mauchline and is trundling towards Newton-on-Ayr. It has stopped, however, at Annbank complaining that the “Points are set wrong”. My only options are to tell the driver to reverse, or to get them to wait 2/5/15 minutes before phoning back. Any thoughts on what to do to proceed from here?

Loader version: 4.5.12
Sim data version: 4.5

Thanks

I think you may have to right click on the points to set them.

Points are hidden, though you can use f11 and look for PANN. However, the more curious question is why were they wrongly set. While it is possible to move (via f11) the points after the train has entered at Mauchline clearing SMA31 follows (in logical order in the same command) the setting of PANN and PMA32 to the right position.

The logic is that if a train is detected as sitting at SMA31 and the necessary conditions (line clear, token is correct etc) to allow the train to proceed have been met the points will be moved to the correct position and the signal cleared.

So its a bit of a mystery.

Did a train enter or try to enter at Killoch?

The previous movement on that line was a train towards Killoch (I can’t remember the TD I’m afraid). If I recall correctly, I received the phonecall for 4S28 to enter as the previous train was still trundling towards Killoch, but it was a good while before 4S28 actually entered (at least 15 minutes). I wish I had a save from before all this occurred to send to you, but, alas, the previous save is a good two hours or more prior to this occurrance.

Setting PANN points to normal allows the train to enter the sim.

Could you provide a copy of the save prior to the incident?

No problem, Barry. Save is attached. This is almost three hours before the incident, just so you’re aware.

G’luck!
